Yup!

Should there be an interest in reviving the seaside-in-winter-theme, I have
checked in Timmendorfer Strand, we would get reasonably spacious appartements
for 65€ a night that could accomodate two people.

That would be a 1:30 h train ride from Hamburg Airport. Alternatively I suggest
we take the IBIS hotel in Hamburg right next to the Hamburg (or any other :-) ) Airport.
