I would like to apply to change my status in Debian to Debian Developer, uploading.

I've been volunteering for Debian for the past one year (since June 2025) across various fronts such as packaging, Google Summer of Code and event hosting. I've also been a Debian Maintainer since Dec 2025.

I'm primarily active in the Debian Python Team, Med Team, Games Team and Rust Team. I currently maintain 44 packages in the Debian Archive. During my time with packaging, I took up various packages ranging from libraries to desktop apps. I actively engage in discussions and coordinate with the upstream authors and focus on collaborative maintenance within teams.

I also helped Debian India host MiniDebConf Navi Mumbai 2025 and MiniDebConf Kanpur 2026. I primarily helped with the graphics design where I designed the conference logos, posters and other promotional material as well as maintaining the wiki.

I'm also working on introducing Linux Kernel Livepatching in Debian via the Linux Livepatching Google Summer of Code 2026 Project. I also helped establish a few teams in Debian such as the Debian Logging Team and the Debian Niri Team.

I would like to become a Debian Developer, uploading to become a complete member of the Debian project and upload my packages to NEW. I know there is a lot left for me to learn but I am confident that I will be able to handle my new responsibilities. This would let me increase my involvement with the project and take up on more core Debian tasks.
