An alternative to surrendering to the preferences of self-styled
"pragmatists" who would prefer the Debian distribution to reflect the
priorities of a commercial OS vendor is to fight for (argue for,
advocate) what you believe in.

Do so in full awareness that you may lose the battle.  Only the
privileged few can expect to prevail in every contest.  They play on a
tilted table and cite their score cards as evidence of personal merit.
