FWIW, I was monitoring -vote closely on that Friday evening, ready
to nominate myself if noone else would do it or if (a) candidate(s) would
nominate themselves whom I really disliked to be DPL.

Thankfully Sruthi nominatly herself rather early this evening, so I
had a few hours to (re)consider and at midnight UTC I was mostly enjoying
a bonfire outside, while occasiionally still going inside to peek at
-vote briefly.

I for one welcome Sruthi as our new DPL.
