Hey, looking at
https://www.debian.org/partners/2017/partners.en.html it's great
to see all this progress. Thank you guys.

I noticed a few things while reading through it and would like to
offer some random feedback. Feel free to ignore. ;)

1. The first paragraph feels repetitive. I'd probably
   scratch the third/final sentence, and maybe move sentences 1 and
   2 around: because of X, we can improve Debian, DPP was created to
   recognize these important contributions etc.

3. the fourth point is weird, all the others start with a verb,
   except this one.

4. non-technical (with hyphen)

5. I'd be careful about mentioning revenue sharing programmes as
   ongoing financial support. We want reliable/predictable income
   and so I think companies should be committed to paying a fixed
   sum X each year. Revenue-based can be quite volatile, and some
   companies are notoriously known for taking *months* to pay up for
   the year that's passed.

   I'm all in favour of using e.g. revenue to influence ranking,
   such that a 1m revenue company giving 1.000 a year should be
   recognized the same as a 100m company giving 100.000. This is not
   too hard to do, I think. But once they commit, we should know how
   much money to expect, and dictate when it's payable.

6. Last paragraph under "what are the criteria" — are there no lower
   bounds on meeting criteria? I.e. assume I "assist Debian in
   distribution of releases" by distributing five CDs. Do I get
   listed? Maybe the word "substantial" needs to be included
   somewhere.

7. Which part of "Debian understand the partners needs an concerns"?
   How do we ensure to "remain properly focused within the market
   through partner's feedback"? I feel like this is a huge promise
   we won't be able (or might not want to) keep.

8. Debian partners can also advertise being Debian partners in their
   own PR. That's a benefit, apart from the cooperation we expect
   from our partners under "what do partners do for debian"?

9. Under "how does a vendor become partner", I feel like this sounds
   a bit harsh/hard. Consider maybe something like "If you're
   interested in becoming a partner of Debian, please send us your
   proposal of partnership to [email protected]. We'll review it,
   and engage with you to establish acceptable terms for the
   partnership."

10. I hope that long-term the goal is to integrate DebConf and LTS
   into this centralised effort.

I am so happy to see this moving forward.
