What do you mean by new firmware? A new version because of an update,
or was it missing?

You need the package name of the firmware added to /etc/fai/NFSROOT,
then rebuild the nfsroot. Then you have the new initrd, which must be
copied to /srv/tftp/fai/ (should be done automatically), then do a
network boot with the new initrd.
