There is one good reason to keep a stable repository, besides a fall back for 
when the dev branch gets too unstable.  It is compiled for 686.  
It would be interesting to benchmark kde 3.2 for 386 v. 686 to see the 
difference if any. Perhaps we could start a movement towards a 686 branch of 
Debian, and then Global Domination! HAHAHAHA!!!
