Hey all,
I've just compiled KDE CVS successfully and everything went fine except for
kopete I get:
You're missing openSSL, or your version is too old (before 0.9.5a).
krdc and Kopete's Jabber plugin will not be compiled. If you want
to use krdc or the Jabber plugin, you should consider installing
or upgrading it.
Have a look at http://www.openssl.org, or find a binary package for
your platform.
Although when I "apt-cache policy libssl-dev openssl" I get:
libssl-dev:
Installed: 0.9.7d-1
Candidate: 0.9.7d-1
Version Table:
*** 0.9.7d-1 0
500 http://ftp.de.debian.org unstable/main Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
openssl:
Installed: 0.9.7d-1
Candidate: 0.9.7d-1
Version Table:
*** 0.9.7d-1 0
500 http://ftp.de.debian.org unstable/main Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
I tried this on three different computers running updated Debian Sid versions
and got that same errors so I guess that unless I'm extremely unlucky
everybody running sid gets that right? :)
anyway if anybody knows a work around I would be happy to know about it!
thanx in advance
Pat
PS: I used ./configure --prefix=/usr --libexecdir=/usr/bin --sysconfdir=/etc
--libdir=/usr/lib --includedir=/usr/include/kde
--with-qt-includes=/usr/include/qt3 --mandir=/usr/share/man
--infodir=/usr/share/info
