Running 2.6 Kernel and CVS HEAD here, no problems... (ext3fs, so kjournald is 
running... Also: He checked what process PID 9 is, which usually will be 
kjournald, depending on the kernel config, but read on)

I also find it very unprobable that *File*descriptor 9 points to a *process*. 
Are you sure you looked up the right stuff in /proc? (/proc/
pid_of_the_offending_konqueror/fd/9 will be a link to a file... This file is 
the file behind fd 9.
