knoppix 3.4 and printing

Hello people,

There seems to be a problem with printing in 3.4.
Trying to print with "Foomatic + gimprint" does not
work
but "Foomatic + gimp-print -ijs" works
Also when trying to print with gimp I get the acual
code printed instead of the pic.
Can that be fixed in the next version? 
Is there a workaround?
