Booting remaster candidate.

I want to work with my remaster before burning a CDR. 

I have a bootable  HD partition with Knoppix installed. I 
also have on another partition the /knx directory with 
subdirectories master and source as described in the 
remaster howto. 

If there is a way to boot the image contained in the /knx 
partition that would be best.

 If not, is it feasable to modify the bootable HD partition 
and then copy its contents to /knx/source before burning 
the CDR?

Which is the better approach?
