I agree native Windows applications, built using Visual C++ or the like, 
should be part of contrib. The idea is to create a super-installer bringing 
users from Windows to *unixes. dpkg is the best tool for achieving this goal 
today. Several solutions and GUIs are already available, including fink for 
example.
