I don't deny that. I just think it would be a really bad idea to set that 
as a pre-requirement for updating the mirror list.

I'm all for choosing some better name, but that's for a different thread 
and should not be used to block the task of "removing ftp:// from mirrors 
lists" which is what we're talking about here.
