I am curious about the differences between GoboLinux's Compile script and
Gentoo's Portage system. First, I would assume Portage is more mature and
capable than Compile? Then I wonder how feasible it would be to modify/fork
Portage to handle Gobo's file hierarchy?

Can anyone offer insights into these questions and/or provide other
insights of comparison?
