GoboLinux 015 not quite up to speed

There seems to be some margin to take gobo015 to better performance.

For better understanding, I tested on the same computer (EeePc):
Gobo014 with kde3, and it was fast.
Kubuntu with kde4 was ok.
BodhiLinux with E17 runs great, very fast and light, even with all the
effects and fancy bling, either from the USBLive or post-install.

But Gobo015 with E18 takes more time to do the same things (compared to
Bodhi), and sometimes it even lags on scrolling the main menus, without any
fancy bling or any apps running.

Passing the menu/explore/root/programs is exceptionaly slow responding, due
to the long list.
Also noticed some frequent hard disk noises during the slow responding
moments, like if the disk stopped and restarted, can it be related? These
noises don't happen on the other distros tested.

Please note that I'm not criticising the work done, I'm giving feedback in
hope that these infos can help to improve this great distro ;)
