Gobo with X under qemu

I saw a package called DirectFB, and wonder if this or some
other package or settings might help me to run X in Gobo
under qemu?

In my lilo.conf, I currently have the following kernel
arguments:

root=/dev/sda5 ro  vt.default_utf8=1 console=/dev/null video=LVDS-1:e video=HDMI-1:e video=VGA=1:e"
