Argument on Android is irrelevant: you can't compare a desktop PC and a phone / tablet
(Well, Microsoft tried to do that with Windows 8 and lost USD 200,000,000,000 ^^).

Android is a total "mess", according to Google.
The only reason of its success is that it is locked.

Lot of people use Android, but how many root it? Very few.

You can't do the same things on a PC and on a phone.
The one is suited to phone, text messages, mails, read things (and play little games).
But not to work properly.

=> No, that's an error of Linux, I mean the Kernel itself.

Notice I said it "is" an error, not "I think" it is one.
This error has been made at the time of Unix, when people didn't wonder what is an Os fundamentally.

But today, we knows that an OS is a base for applications.
The Linux FHS has been created to work alone, separating the folders by functions, and not by programs.

In an hospital, when you sort patients folders, you sort them by patients, and not by diseases.
Linux made the same kind of error.

GoboLinux try to correct this error, and it does that well.
But the real progress should be to change the kernel itself.
