I have been running it on a MacBook (which has a different kind of
keyboard layout), and I can copy+paste in the terminal using
"shift+function c/v". Firefox still uses "ctrl c/v". Have you tried
different combination of key presses to paste X11's buffers on the
terminal?

Just yesterday I received a bug report on the keyboard layout. Could
you tell me what's the parameters being passed to setxkbmap in your
~/.xinitrc?

The bootloader should definitely pick up the 'GoboLinux 016 beta'
label when booting from USB. Can you send me a picture of how it
currently looks like?
