Ok, found the combination for Copy+Paste in this terminal, it's
Ctrl+Alt+c to copy and Ctrl+Alt+v to paste.
I'll check what the ~/.xinitrc list before I modify the xkbmap setting.
I can take a picture of the Bios prompt, but there's not much to see :)
The BIOS boot order lists my hard drive ('Sata...bla,bla,something')
and the USB flash disk is just labeled '0'.
