i guess by 1.0a2 you mean 'Pixie Version 1.0 Alpha2' from 04/03/2001

that is not the same as pixieplus. i fell for that too. mosfet dropped the 
package afaics, some kde maintainer created a pre-beta cvs project: 

http://webcvs.kde.org/kdenonbeta/pixieplus/

i tried that once, but it wasn't finished yet. maybe we can try again, before 
we drop the package.
