Hi,
as said, I'm currently fixing build errors.
here is a short status report (just fyi).
My test build is a crystal with add-on packages. This is pretty simmilar to
a reference build without stage 9.
I still have 281 (of 1409) package builds to go in my test build. So far
there are 6 unfixed errors. bored tonight? here is some stuff to do.. ;-)
--snip--
Package:
jsaw/gnomesword
Problem:
The package is based on an old (3.0) version of the gtkhtml library. The
current (3.1) gtkhtml library has a different API.
Proposed Solution:
Disable package. It's de-facto unmaintained and it doesn't seam like anyone is
interested in taking over maintainership of the package. So maybe we will
simply remove the package if the problem isn't solved by an upstream update
soon..
----
Package:
misc/joystick
Problem:
The package contains horribly outdated kernel modules and some small tools.
Both fail to build. The kernel modules shouldn't be built anyways. The tools
fail because the kernel headers have changed since the tools have been written.
Proposed Solution:
Maybe simply removing the package. If someone feels like fixing the tools,
disabling the kernel modules would be fine too.
----
Package:
rene/pixieplus
Problem:
The package has been written for the ImageMagick 5.5.0 API. The ROCK
ImageMagick package provides ImageMagick 6.1.9. The current version of
pixieplus (1.0a2) has it's own imagemagick package bundled, but has no
pre-created configure scrtipt and it is not possible to create one as it is
proposed in the documentation.
Proposed Solution:
Removing/disabling the package. There are other packages which solve the same
problem and don't have this problems.
----
Package:
stf/gatos-ati-remote
Problem:
ati_remote26.c: In function `ati_remote_probe':
ati_remote26.c:382: error: structure has no member named `act_altsetting'
Proposed Solution:
none yet (still need to have a deeper look at the issue).
----
Package:
base/lvm
Problem:
The typical nightmare with the kernel headers.
Proposed Solution:
Someone has to write a hotfix..
----
Package:
import/cpan-html-entities
Problem:
Shared file (HTML/Parser/.packlist) with cpan-html-parser.
Proposed Solution:
none yet (still need to have a deeper look at the issue).
