What hardware was that? I will try tomorrow the ATI drivers on a Radeon 9200. I will test things like Chromium and some other OpenGL stuff. What I expect is a lockup when you close the session, but thats not a problem from Xorg but from the ATI drivers (have it here with Xorg 6.8.1 and also know problems with xfree). The second test will catch the NVIDIA part with Geforce 2 GTS. Base hardware is a Asus A7V133 (512MB Infineon RAM) - Athlon TB 1000MHz (I know I need new hardware but let's hope for this year). If I also recognize some strange behaviour, we should perhaps update directly from 6.8.1 to 6.8.3. Otherwise let's discuss ;-). At the moment I know only from you (daja) that you had problems with the 6.8.2 release. The rest was very quiet about this release. Cheers, Michael Obster
