no. the symlinks do not have md5sums because they are symlinks. See
[2005050411073615864] for a patch which changes this behavior.

The idea here ist to not actually remove this files but move them to
special "*:purgeme" split-packages.

Simply removing them could me dangerous because they still may be library
dependencies on those packages left. Moving them to special split packages
would allow implementing an extra purgeing script which does check for such
cases and remove the files if it is save to do so.

You are welcome to implement that too..  ;-)
