Problems creating a partimage package

Hi everybody,

I wanted to create a partimage package for fast cloning of a complete room.

Now I have some problems with that, where I need some help from you. 
When I try to compile the package without any conf I get a 
compiler-error, that exceptions are disabled and I should use 
-fexceptions to enable that.
Building it manually chrooted in this environment, I get it compiled.

So I tried a
var_append GCC_WRAPPER_INSERT " " "-fexceptions"
var_append GXX_WRAPPER_INSERT " " "-fexceptions"
but with that the error is still there (Exceptions disabled). Working 
with CFLAGS CXXFLAGS doesn't work either.

The error file is attached. Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong. 
When building partimage by hand I can see that some files get a 
-fexceptions and some get nothing and some get a -fno-exceptions.
