chroot requires root privileges as well as setting permissions during
'make install' or equivalent.

Compiling Crystal needs around 8 GB.

I'm currently trying a x86_64 cross compile on my machine. If that works
I can give you detailed instructions on how to continue from there.
If you want to try if CentOS 4.2 is able to compile ROCK out of the box
you can try this configuration:

start ./scripts/Config:
	set x86 as platform
	check 64 bit
	select Crystal target
	exit

run ./scripts/Download -required
run ./scripts/Build-Target
start ./scripts/Config -cfg bootdisk
	set x86 as platform
	check 64 bit
	select Bootdisk target
	exit

run ./scripts/Download -cfg bootdisk -required
run ./scripts/Build-Target -cfg bootdisk
run ./scripts/Create-ISO crystal_x86_64 bootdisk default

If all goes well this will give you an installable Crystal for x86_64.

If your CentOS does _not_ compile ROCK out of the box you might want to wait
if this cross-compile here works. This will create an environment know
to be able to compile ROCK which you can then chroot into.
