[rock-user] Re: Build host requirements?

Adding to my last post, the build process stopped with the error message I
reported earlier (but in a somewhat unspecific manner, then). This is what
happens:

-> Building tools.native/lib/fl_wrapper.so.
-> Testing tools.native/lib/fl_wrapper.so.
-> Creating tools.native/lib/parse-config.
-> Creating tools.native/lib/pkg_*_{pre,post}.conf

Building tools in build/.../tools.chroot:
-> Building tools.chroot/wrapper/cmd_wrapper.
cc: installation problem, cannot exec `as': No such file or directory

Package build ended abnormally!

It seems this is a consequence of the earlier error message that makeinfo
could not be found when building binutils. Right?

If so: What could I do to fix this?
