Dear Rene,

I've just read your article in freeX. You say that ROCK can be much more
easily built on non-ROCK build hosts, there, so I thought I'd give my SuSE
box a second chance. ;-)

I'm just running a second attempt to build dRock 2.0.1 on SuSE 9.1
Professional. A number of packages gets through stage 0 and one without
problems, but then:

(1) Dietlibc
I don't understand the problem, at all. I am actually wondering what
dietlibc might be good for on a desktop target...

(2) Binutils
If I get this right, a program named makeinfo is missing on my SuSE system.
I can't find this program anywhere in all the packages on the SuSE DVD. Is
this a program that is commonly available? Is there a package for it, or is
it usually part of some other package?

I may totally misunderstand something, here --- I'm a ROCK newbie, so
forgive me, if I am asking something obvious.

   Alex
