Just a quick progress note: As I supposed my X problems had nothing to do
with ROCK.
I have X now in good quality.
Problem was probably caused by a missing parameter when I created my
unprivileged user (no -g or something like that).
Currently I'm struggling with the network configuration: I have not yet
succeeded in making my ROCK system a DHCP client. I'll have a deeper look
into the handbook later...
But the relevant thing is:
* Apart from configuration matters I have my first ROCK system up and
* running. 8-)
My biggest wish for future versions would be an extension to the bootloader
installation module: Let the user choose between an MBR and a /root
installation of GRUB/LILO. That would make it easier to try out ROCK, as one
could install it on an existing multiboot system as an additional system
without destroying the existing bootloader. And the easier it is to try it
out, the more people will, I think.
Thanks for your patience and support!
Alex
