of course you can. drop any linux on it which fulfills the requirements to 
bootstrap a build (gcc, binutils...), and start the compile. let's see how 
far you get - i haven't tested sparc builds for some time, but i'll get the 
ultra30 back on the weekend, so i could do a sparc32 test build an push an 
iso up for a starting ground.

more on sparc in the future, even a livecd isn't far away... in fact, i 
already had one ready, just lost it ... douh.
