As we do not have debugging symbols usually, the error will be hard to
find. I can only guess wildly:
-check that evolution starts the correct browser resp. its availability
-update dependant packages, especially "gal" and "gtkhtml".
...?

Maybe u can start evolution in a terminal and check the output for
anomalies.
