Hi, I`m downloading an XP optimised version of DRock and have a question.

I have basic linux experience, enough to do things like compile tarballs,
etcetera, and have a Sagem Fast 800 ADSL modem. With distros like Mandrake
and Suse I can simply copy the source onto my hard drive and do

./configure
make
make install

to get it up and running, then just in a shell su and issue the modems start
or stop command. Will this work with Rock Linux as well?

I ask because if not I would like to be able to find out what to do so when I
install I can set it up, I like the sound of Rock and it sounds faster and
better than Suse 9.0 which is my main distribution of choice, I am pretty
sure it will work with my Nvidia card but unsure about the DSL modem as
neither Sagems nor Eagle USB drivers worked with Fedora Core but did with
Mandrake 10.

Thanks for any help, I searched the archives and the net before posting but
couldn`t find an answer.

Thanks :)
