Error on 2650 with Perc3/D driver - redHat 2.4.20 kernel

HI All,

Did anyone have the error like:

ext-fs error ( device sd (8,6) )
ext3_get_inode_loc: unable to read inode block - inode=98500, block=196664

My systems is Dell 2650 with Perc3/D running Linux RedHat 8.0 kernel 2.4.20.
I compiled the kernel myself which I got the source from kernel.org.

Any Help will be appreciated.
