RE: I/O's per second on Perc3/Di

BEWARE!  You may be proven wrong below (to your hearts content).

If memory serves me, while looking through the MIB, I saw stats information
such as readKBpersec, writeKbpersec, IOreadpersec.  This particluar version
of the perc s/w (4.06, rpm) did not support these params, but hopefully with
a newer version it will.

i'm assuming (not too sure) that the 2500 has 6 internal 9G disks
and you have created 3 raid0 containers of 2*9G in each.

on linux you can do some monitoring using iostat and vmstat.  in particular

iostat -x 2  or vmstat 1

nfsstat might also be helpful as is netstat -s for looking at network
related i/o.
sometimes helps when comparing against expected system i/o if application
debugging.

i am not aware of any performance statistics that are available via the
command line (afacli) or the snmp interface to the controller (but i'd
love to corrected on this.. it'd be great if we could get performance
stats using snmp out of our perc3/sis on the 2450..)

i have only played with afacli 2.6 and 2.7/2.7-1
