RE: How's the aacraid patch results coming along?

The only significant difference (IMHO) between these two drivers `as
shipped' is that AAC_NUM_FIB is 578 in most releases including 2.4.22-pre3
and 512 in the SuSE release.

I am suggesting that this value be (AAC_NUM_IO_FIB+64), and limited to below
512 (the maximum number of hardware FIBS the Firmware can absorb). I will
begin testing the stability and side effects of this input.

After my non-lucky test of 2.4.22-pre3, I switched to a precompiled
SuSE kernel:

The problem seems to be gone...
Before this, the aacraid hang was happening almost every night, during
the I/O phases of the nightly backup.
6 days without any aacraid hang now, and the same success on the other 2
machines which got the aacraid hang regularly before, too.
