You need to go to Dell Technical Support to get the 3157 back-rev'd
Firmware. I do not have the authority regarding Firmware release products.
Although worthwhile as a datapoint, IMHO I do not believe the back-rev will
bear fruit. You might serve things better if you turn off Write Cache ...

*Bob* pleads for help!

This separate issue, I will call it *Bob*, you are experiencing appears not
related to the fix in 1.1.4-2302 of the aacraid driver, Write Cache off in
the controller, or back-rev to 3157 of the Firmware. *Bob* only surfaced
when the more prominent issue regarding Cache Flush priority was pealed
away, and requires the Cache Flush fix in order to progress to *Bob*. As
this appears to be a pure Firmware problem resulting in a lockup of the
controller and no recourse available to the driver, I am a JAFO currently
and have limited contact surrounding *Bob*; however, I did get Andy in
contact with the Firmware Engineer that is to investigate this issue. I am
only aware of two reports, including Andy's, of *Bob* to Dell Technical
support that has bubbled to engineering and neither can be reproduced by
their team. The other report indicates the problem does *not* occur if there
is only one array on the controller and requires a rather specific load, and
no doubt specific hardware. If any of you have only one array and have the
problem persisting, or some other simplification of *Bob*, please forward
this issue to Dell Technical support as we really need to be able to
duplicate this problem.

No one has reported this issue with any other aacraid based controllers.

Okay..

I'm currently running miniport driver 1.1-4 (Build #2302), with firmware 
#3170, and I can get my system crashing within 2hrs.

Can anyone tell me where I could find firmware #3157, so I could see 
whether that one is more stable?  Mark?
