Jim, This means that you are getting smart warning error messages on Hard Drive ID#1 on Channel 0. This is a pre-failure message that the Hard Drive will eventually fail. If you call into Server Support, they will send out a Hard Drive for you so it can be replaced. Thank You, Jeremy Sheard DELL Server Support -----Original Message----- From: Jim Robinson [mailto:jim-UPO/6gOIxNZWk0Htik3J/[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, December 11, 2002 12:42 PM To: linux-aacraid-devel-Lp/cVzEoVyZskZv2Y/7f+AC/[email protected] Subject: kernel: aacraid:SMART WARNING: ID (0:1:0)=FPT_EXCEEDED(Test) Hi, I have this message repeating in the logs of Poweredge server. The server is fine, no problems or performance issues noted but this message is repeating every 19 minutes. kernel: aacraid:SMART WARNING: ID (0:1:0)=FPT_EXCEEDED(Test) Is this something to be concerned about or is it a test/informational message as the (Test) suggests? There are no other related messages being logged from the raid subsystem.... I do not have the kernel revision or poweredge server version to hand but can supply if needed. If you can CC: my email when replying I would appreciate it.
