I greped the source that came on the driver disk, and 12fd and 1001
aren't in there anywhere. I think they just kinda pulled the CVS off the
web and threw it on the disk without giving it any thought. So I don't
know what to tell you. All I can say is that the wifi has been running
for 6 days without a problem with the at76c505-rfmd.c module.

Any other ideas on how to determine the correct module?
