Hello, I use Suse 9 (Kernel 2.4.21) and have installed the at76c503a. After I plug my SMC2662 V3 adapter in, my systems hangs. After a reboot I can find the following log: Dec 28 22:19:11 linux kernel: at76c503.c: Generic Atmel at76c503/at76c505 routines v0.12beta2 Dec 28 22:19:11 linux kernel: at76c503-fw_skel.c: Atmel at76c503 (RFMD/Accton) Wireless LAN Driver v0.12beta2 loading Dec 28 22:19:11 linux kernel: usb.c: registered new driver at76c503-rfmd-acc Dec 28 22:20:13 linux kernel: at76c503-fw_skel.c: using compiled-in firmware Dec 28 22:20:13 linux kernel: at76c503.c: getting firmware failed with 0, or version is 0 Dec 28 22:20:13 linux kernel: at76c503.c: this probably means that the ext. fw was not loaded correctly I read some postings about driver problems with usb code in some kernel versions. As a Linux-Wlan-newbie, the reason for my problem should be much simpler.... Thank you Andreas
