Now no access point found (Re: Suse 9 hangs after SMC2662W V3 hotplug)

Hello,
in the mean time, I followed a hint in a similar posting. I did:

rmmod usb-uhci
insmod uhci

Now the systems hangs not anymore and delivers output for the iwconfig
command. After setting the configuration I receive:

Using these options I use in windows xp, I cannot find my access point. If I
restart my machine with windows, I also need to unplug my SMC2662 device,
before it works again.



Is this related to firmware version somehow? The log tells me, that it uses
the compiled-in firmware. Firmware version ist displayed as 8.101.5 #84.
