No idea.  I've only tried using the WUSB11 V2.6 in ad-hoc mode -- I have
no AP here, so I've never tried managed mode.

From what I could tell, however, is that using the newer firmware, the
radio in the WUSB11 V2.6 wasn't "turned on" -- Netstumbler running on my
Windows-based laptop wouldn't see the WUSB11 V2.6 dongle until I backed
out to the older firmware.
