WUSB11 v2.6 revisited (was Re: Linksys help , can't find anywhere)

bought a WUSB11 v2.6 some days ago and tested it here with an
unpatched driver 0.12beta4, kernel 2.4.23.

It works both in adhoc and managed mode with firmware 0.101.x-84 without
problems! Peers were a WRT54G and a SMC2662W-AR. Tried adhoc mode with
both the peer switched on before and after the WUSB11.

I had no problems to see the beacons of it in adhoc mode using a Prism2
PCCard with wlan-ng 0.2.1-pre16 and ethereal 0.10.

Maybe you could re-do your tests of the 0.101-x-84 firmware in adhoc mode
with Netstumbler. Please use the default parameter of the driver
(no pmmode !), activate the device by opening the netdev and try to find
it in the air with Netstumbler on channel 10 (it does send ProbeRequests
on all allowed channels before)? I've no idea of Netstumbler's abilities.
