My peers are a WUSB11 V2.5 (Prism2) and an ORiNOCO Gold card (Prism2?).

Could it be a bug in the at76c503-rfmd driver?  Is that what you're
thinking?

I can upgrade to 0.12beta4 and try again, but the driver has been rock
solid here, working without needing any tinkering for the past 56 days.

When I get a moment, I'll try updating the driver to 0.12beta4 and see
if it works with the 0.101.x-84 firmware.
