Hello!

IP address at each end was set up using
   ifconfig wlan0 addr

The Linksys WUSB11 card (atmel driver) iwconfig output
shows signal level = 77, noise level = 0.  (no units
given), Cell: 02:00:A7:90:FE:DC

The USRobotics PCMCIA card (hostAP driver) iwconfig
output shows signal level=-90dB and noise level=-90dB.
 Cell=00:00:00:00:00:00

Could it be that the signal or noise levels are the
reasons why the USRobotics card is not detected by the
LinkSys USB card in ad-hoc mode?
