Hi,
I have a USB key adapter made by excel, which i believe to be a rebranded version of this (http://www.cameo.com.tw/products/html/wireless/wlb-1403.htm). USB vid/pid is 0x3eb/0x7613.
It is picked up by the driver (at76c505-rfmd2958, cvs version 0.12beta6), and the interface wlan0 is created. However, it appears not to be able to join other networks. The log below shows trying to connect to an adhoc network, after setting:
iwconfig wlan0 essid tom mode ad-hoc
ifconfig wlan0 10.1.1.2

In addition to this, iwspy says: "wlan0 No statistics to collect".

At one point, i managed to get my laptop to ping another computer that connected to the adhoc network created by my computer. However, the remote computer could not ping my computer back.

Also, on the webpage, it is mentioned that there is no monitor support because of firmware limitations. Are these addressable by this driver, or does atmel control the firmware?

Thanks in advance,
Rohan
