Hello,
I have been using the berlios driver (at76c503-i3861) with RH9 and my
linksys USB wireless card for a couple of years now on a Pentium III
box. Someone recently gave me an Sun Ultra 10 and I am trying to get
the linksys card to work. I'm running gentoo linux for sparc kernel
version 2.4.25. I added a USB PCI card (NECchipset uses OHCI and EHCI)
I've compiled the driver and have enabled wireless in my kernel. It
appears that the driver marries itself to the card properly but when I
try to run iwconfig I get "wlan0 no wireless extensions".
Is anyone out there using these drivers on a sun box? For some reason
after all my searching, I am under the impression that maybe I should
try the 2.6 kernel. Do you agree? Any other advice would be
appreciated. Below is the output from a few commands.
Thanks,
From my kernel config
CONFIG_NET_RADIO=y
CONFIG_NET_WIRELESS=y
