Hello, I have a problem getting my Linksys WUSB11 working with Suse 8.2 Pro. I have read the tutorials mentioned in this list, but nothing worked for me. After plugging the WUSB11 into my Desknote I get these messages: Output of dmesg: frank@dhcppc0:~>dmesg [...] hub.c: new USB device 00:14.0-4, assigned address 3 usbdfu.c: get_op_mode() failed: -32 usbdfu.c: downloading firmware usbdfu.c: remap uusbdfu.c: resetting device usbdfu.c: scanning unclaimed devices usbdfu.c: op_mode = 4 usbdfu.c: firmware already loaded at76c503.c: downloading external firmware at76c503.c: firmware version 0.100.4 #16 at76c503.c: using MAC 00:06:25:48:49:5f at76c503.c: using net device eth1 Output of /var/log/messages Oct 12 13:02:42 dhcppc0 /etc/hotplug/net.agent[2000]: Using HW description eth-usb-1-2 Oct 12 13:02:43 dhcppc0 kernel: hub.c: new USB device 00:14.0-4, assigned address 3 Oct 12 13:02:43 dhcppc0 kernel: usbdfu.c: get_op_mode() failed: -32 Oct 12 13:02:43 dhcppc0 kernel: usbdfu.c: downloading firmware Oct 12 13:02:43 dhcppc0 kernel: usbdfu.c: remap Oct 12 13:02:45 dhcppc0 kernel: usbdfu.c: resetting device Oct 12 13:02:45 dhcppc0 kernel: usbdfu.c: scanning unclaimed devices Oct 12 13:02:45 dhcppc0 kernel: usbdfu.c: op_mode = 4 Oct 12 13:02:45 dhcppc0 kernel: usbdfu.c: firmware already loaded Oct 12 13:02:45 dhcppc0 kernel: at76c503.c: downloading external firmware Oct 12 13:02:45 dhcppc0 kernel: at76c503.c: firmware version 0.100.4 #16 Oct 12 13:02:45 dhcppc0 kernel: at76c503.c: using MAC 00:06:25:48:49:5f Oct 12 13:02:45 dhcppc0 kernel: at76c503.c: using net device eth1 Oct 12 13:02:48 dhcppc0 /etc/hotplug/usb.agent[2164]: writing usb-1-3 to /var/run/hotplug/net Oct 12 13:02:49 dhcppc0 /etc/hotplug/net.agent[2154]: Using HW description eth-usb-1-3 Oct 12 13:02:49 dhcppc0 ifup-wireless: command 'iwconfig eth1 nick dhcppc0' returned Oct 12 13:02:49 dhcppc0 ifup-wireless: Error for wireless request "Set Nickname" (8B1C) : Oct 12 13:02:49 dhcppc0 ifup-wireless: SET failed on device eth1 ; Operation not supported. For my knowledge I am out of options and I hope that anyone can help me out. Thanks a lot, Frank
