Hi,

I was trying to use iwspy and some other command to get some stats, which
said my interface dosnt support stats.

The beacon drop error happens only when I am trying to copy a huge set of
files across the network.

I have my ssh login from windows machine to the linux the whole day, and I
dont see any problems with that.

As it was mentioned in the earlier threads, I am suspecting the beacon
problem occurs only under heavy load.

One more thing I forgot to mention in the previous posting, If I remember
correctly, When the belkin wireless adapter was plugged into the windows
machine, its LED was green in color, showing good link. where as the color
changed only if the router was very far. Both my machines are right next to
the router, hardly a foot away.
I need to verify this again by plugging the wireless adapter to the windows
machine, but for some reason I am thinking my link quality is not proper.

Which version of the driver is the most stable ?

Thanks,
Vinay

Firmware (binary only, provided by Atmel) for RFMD radios reports signal
level only, link quality and noise level fields are zero.

Which command?

Your device hasn't received a beacon from the ap for BEACON_TIMEOUT many
seconds. The current behaviour for the driver is to restart and
scan/assoc/authenticate/join, assuming it has left the range of the old
ap. Try to increase the BEACON_TIMEOUT in at76c503.c, line 170.
Or comment out lines 1294-1299 to skip the restart at all. Leave the
info() there to see that you've missed the beacons. I wonder if loosing
beacons is caused on the access point side (too many collisions in the
air) or on the STA side (overload in the firmware, low memory, ...).
