Hi,

I am using a Linksys WUSB11 V2.6 on a system I
keep running 24x7. Its running Redhat 8.0. The
link will stay up sometimes for 1, 2, or even
3 weeks. But, for some reason, it will loose
its connection. The only way I've found to bring the
wireless link back up is a reboot. Its configured
as eth0. ifdown eth0 and ifup eth0 have no effect.
/etc/init.d/network stop/start/reload has not
effect.

How can I bring this link back up without rebooting?

I'm running the April 16, 2003 version of the
atmelwlandriver.

# ifconfig eth0
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr
00:06:25:26:A7:F5
          inet addr:192.168.1.141 Bcast:192.168.1.255

          RX bytes:483848865 (461.4 Mb) TX

# iwconfig eth0
eth0 ATMEL RFMD503A ESSID:"LinkSys"
Nickname:"LinkSys"
          Mode:Managed Channel:6 Access Point:
00:06:25:C6:6C:19

level:0
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx
invalid frag:0
          Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0

These statistics don't change when the link is down.
iwconfig still reports Link Quality:100, Signal
level:10, and Noise level: 0.

Thanks,

Mark
