hmm, what's exactly the problem?

Does your device lock on the wrong AP or does it repeat scanning?
In the latter case setting the AP's BSSID won't help, in the former
one I'd would rather check my essid setting. Unless you really have
two APs with the same essid in range, and one of them is wrong
(I doubt this). The change for "iwconfig ap ..." isn't big, but I
really don't see the need for it.
