Hi, me again with a problem concerning the fiberline FL-WL240U. At my gentoo system with iwconfig iwconfig Version 25 Compatible with Wireless Extension v15 or earlier, Currently compiled with Wireless Extension v13. from wireless tools * net-wireless/wireless-tools Latest version available: 27_pre3 Latest version installed: 25 Size of downloaded files: 118 kB Homepage: http://www.hpl.hp.com/personal/Jean_Tourrilhes/Linux/Tools.html Description: A collection of tools to configure wireless lan cards. modules work fine, and iwconfig also. But at my freshly installed sarge debian system iwconfig iwconfig Version 26 Compatible with Wirless Extension v16 or earlier, Currently compiled with Wireless Extension v16. does not recognize the proper installed wlan0 as a wireless device, so it refuses to set any settings. Do I have to downgrade the wireless-tools? Any questions leading to the answer are appreciated. cu Sascha
